THE HISTORY OF BARR'S — In 1986 David and Nancy decided to venture out on their own and begin Barr's Roofing, David had 20 years experience working as a licensed Sheetmetal Mechanic for a roofing company in Toronto, Ontario. Corey their oldest son and Greg a neighbor and friend were graduating high school decided to join them. In 1989 they moved from Blackstock, Ontario to Newcastle, Ontario where they could build a shop to accommodate their growing business. Scott their youngest son began helping on weekends and summers.

15 years later Greg and Corey are still working for Barr's and Scott is working fulltime. As well Scott's wife Carrie has joined David and Nancy in the office. Greg is now a licensed roofer, Corey does our estimating and Scott is a licensed Sheetmetal Mechanic. Barr's does all types of roofing, siding, windows and skylights residentially, agriculturally, commercially and industrially year round. We are a family owned and operated company whose focus is quality work, done on time.
